The RLP sweeper is designed for clearing snow around the runway lights at airports. It is designed for attachment to a wheel loader, but can also be adapted for large tractors. The machine works with a combination of snow ploughs and rotating brushes and is consistently operated on four castor wheels.

Equipment

The RLP features a specialized blade and brush system that gently clears snow from around the lights. It is connected to the adapter frame and hydraulics of the carrying vehicle. While the front blades clear most of the snow to the side, the two adjustable, rotating brushes clear the runway lights while the rear plough blades remove the remaining snow. The adjustable distance between the brushes and the angle of attack enable different plough geometries. Four castor wheels support the frame when driving over obstacles and extend the service life of the cutting edge.

The RLP is offered in two frame heights, designed to accommodate the height of the runway lights. Additionally, it can be equipped with two sets of brushes at different levels: the lower brushes clear snow around the base of the light, while the upper soft brush gently removes snow from the top of the light.
