The Stratos D series is particularly suitable for de-icing in difficult locations, such as mountainous regions,  and the 4.0 - 6.0 m³ spreaders can be mounted on a Unimog or truck. A dual-chamber silo system enables different spreading materials to be applied simultaneously, in varying mixing ratios or separately.

Modular concept

An optimised, modular design enables individual configurations to cope with any tasks and conditions. A double-chamber hopper consists of two separate chambers, split 1/3:2/3, from which a variety of spreading materials can be discharged.

Mounting and demounting systems

The 4.0 - 6.0 m³ spreaders are suitable for a variety of mouting and demounting systems, including demount legs, Ro-Ro demount systems, tipper demount systems, roll-off tipper systems or fixed bodies.

Dosage and conveying systems

A twin auger conveyor system ensures a particularly flat hopper design and maximum utilisation of the vehicle width. Separately operating and directly controllable auger conveyors ensure flexible spreading of various spreading materials, while a two-stage incline of the conveyors guarantees uniform emptying. The high torque, direct drive, hydraulic motor allows a stable and safe start-up.

Pre-wet equipment

The spreader is equipped with laterally-arranged brine tanks with a liquid level indicator and a brine pump with run-dry protection, while a rear-side Storz C connection allows filling and emptying of the tanks. When switching on the brine (FS 30), the dry material is automatically reduced and the distribution system settings are optimised in line with the change in de-icing agent. The system achieves a high level of accuracy, thanks to integrated sensors for comparison of actual versus target value of the control loops.

Distribution systems

High dosing accuracy and dynamic spreading patterns ensure safety in road traffic. Premium spreading discs with a 5-zone mixing system ensure a homogeneous mixture is dynamically discharged as a bundled ejection jet to compensate for the effect of the wind.

The swivel technology of the spreading discs allows the symmetrical or asymmetrical spreading pattern to be adjusted manually or electronically via the control panel. This technique maintains the size of the spreading area and achieves a precisely defined spreading pattern, the width of which can be adjusted from 2 -10m or 3 -12m.

Drive options

The spreader is typically driven by the hydraulics of the carrier vehicle, although a diesel engine is available as an option.

Control and information systems

The D series is operated via the EvolutionLine control system, which, thanks to easy-grip click-turn contol knobs and illuminated push buttons, ensures that the driver can concentrate fully on the traffic and road conditions. Smart ThermoLogic and Route Assistant systems make the Stratos D even more efficient and resource-saving.

IntelliOPS telematics platform

The Stratos spreaders can be connected to the Aebi Schmidt IntelliOPS platform which provides comprehensive monitoring, selection, reporting and analysis functions. It enables rapid performance evaluation by displaying machine activity data live on a map and uses the collected data to provide detailed overviews and reports to optimise operations.
