Aebi |Slope tractor|TT 242 / TT 282
Driving characteristics
Stepless travel drive: The travel speed is infinitely variable and can be controlled either via the drive lever or the foot pedal. The hydrostatic drive generates a permanent power connection between the engine and wheels and allows the vehicle to be manoeuvred safely and precisely - even on extreme slopes.
Terrain adaptation: The front axle can twist in relation to the rear axle. This torsion enables the attachments to be adapted precisely to the terrain.
Balanced weight distribution: Both Terratrac models distribute their weight evenly over all wheels. This increases the slope capability, protects the soil and reduces tyre wear.
Four steering modes: At the touch of a button, you can switch between front (a), rear (b), all-wheel (c) and crab steering (d) while driving. From a travelling speed of 25 km/h, the Terratrac automatically switches to front-wheel steering.
Torsen / T-Traction: The Torsen longitudinal differential ensures that the drive torque is permanently equalised on all four wheels. This protects the drive components and wheels as well as the ground and turf.
Automatic Drive Control (ADC): The ADC automatically regulates the maximum feed speed of the attachment. This means that the engine always runs in the optimum speed range to save fuel.
ECO-Drive: The engine speed is reduced while the speed remains unchanged. This results in lower fuel consumption and a lower noise level.
TipTronic: The movement range of the drive lever is proportional to the driving speed range. The maximum speed can also be limited using Tiptronic, but without restricting the movement range of the drive lever. This enables extremely precise and sensitive speed control.
Drive programmes: The four drive programmes allow precise adjustment of the speed to the attachment.
- Road travel: 100% of the engine power acts on the travel drive. Full tractive force already at 1,300 rpm. The desired travelling speed can be maintained via cruise control.
- Working mode: 30-70% of the engine power is applied to the travel drive. Full tractive force from 1 400 rpm.
- Snow blower: 10-20% of the engine power is applied to the traction drive. Full tractive force from 2 000 rpm.
- Proportional: 30-70% of the motor power acts on the traction drive. Automatic or proportional drive is selected simply by pressing a button.
Hydraulics
Front and rear linkage: The standard hydraulic output of the model series of 40 l/min can be extended to 55 l/min as an option. The powerful linkages enable the simultaneous operation of a wide range of attachments. The category I & II front linkage has a lifting capacity of 2000 kg and a standard side shift of 630 mm. The rear linkage corresponds to category II with a lifting capacity of 1800 kg. When coupling or uncoupling the attachments, the "lifting" and "lowering" linkage functions as well as a freely selectable control unit can be operated from the outside.
Relief hydraulics: The relief hydraulics allow the attachment to glide over the ground with freely adjustable contact pressure. Together with the laterally oscillating implement suspension, this results in precise adaptation to the terrain and guarantees clean work results.
Vibration damping: The Terratrac's front hydraulics and optional rear hydraulics equalise vibrations from the mounted implements and absorb shocks. This enables faster shifting movements, improves driving safety, increases driving comfort and protects the machine.
Automated work sequences: The linkage function combines recurring work steps in an automated sequence. For example, when mowing, after raising the mower at the front (a), the machine can automatically switch on the all-wheel steering for the turn and raise the conditioner at the rear (b). If the driver lowers the front linkage again (c), the front steering is activated again and the implement at the rear is lowered (d). The couplings can be freely programmed to be simultaneous or delayed and save a lot of time when manoeuvring.
Workplace
Cockpit: The modern cockpit impresses with plenty of space and an ergonomic arrangement of the controls. Holders for the mobile phone and a drinking bottle of up to 1.5 litres are within easy reach for the driver. For even more comfort in the panoramic cab, the machine is equipped with heating, a dust filter and air conditioning as standard.
Operating concept: With the revised Vision Control operating concept, we offer the most advanced operating unit on the market for suspended implement carriers. With the modern and simple operation via the enlarged display and two keypads, many processes can be freely programmed for specific users before use. During work, the 12-inch touch display keeps the driver constantly informed of all important parameters, while the vehicle and implements are mainly controlled via the tried-and-tested control lever. In addition, certain functions can be pre-set or customised on the 12-inch touch display to facilitate operation during use.
Electro-hydraulic clutch: The transmission group can be changed quickly/slowly at the touch of a button using the electro-hydraulic clutch fitted as standard.
Comfort seat and swivelling device: For even greater driving comfort, the seat can be supplemented with an air suspension system that absorbs heavy shocks. The optional swivelling device enables the driver to sit upright on steep shift lines.
Cooling system & reversible fan: The fan intensity of the cooling system is regulated according to demand. The large radiator is easily accessible and can be easily folded up for cleaning. The optional reversible fan automatically changes the direction of rotation at intervals during operation.
Lighting: The adjustable, high-positioned work lights ensure optimum illumination of the working area. The vehicle lighting is fitted with LED lights as standard.
Pneumatic braking system: A pneumatic 2-wire braking system is available as an option for the TT 282. It ensures safe manoeuvring on steep terrain and allows a maximum trailer load of 6,500 kg.

Tyres
The basic tyres are matched to the future terrain. This gives every machine excellent traction and optimum safety on slopes.
These properties can be further improved with dual tyres. The dual tyres can be fitted easily and conveniently thanks to quick-release fasteners.
Soil protection
The wide low-pressure tyres and additional dual tyres that can be fitted at the front and rear provide a large contact surface. Together with the low dead weight of the Terratrac, this results in low ground pressure. This protects the sward and minimises ground pressure.
