Plough blade

With a high degree of inclination blade shape, the CPS sideplough is developed for a clean snow flow at high clearing speed, necesarry on highways. The CPS is designed with a swivel suspension, which allows the blade to pivot or swing, improving manoeuvrability and enabling better control when clearing snow around obstacles or curbs. The torsion-resistant and stable box construction guarantees a very high stability at low weight. The CPS delivers aggressive and very thorough clearing due to the 15° angle of attack of the cutting edge.

Override security system

The automatically operating override system guarantees uninterrupted snow removal with the highest possible degree of protection of the vehicle and plough from damage. When hitting an obstacle, the impacted segment of the cutting edge bends backwards thanks to the polyurethane shock absorbing rail fitted between the plough blade and the cutting edge. This allows the plough to pass the obstacle, while the other cutting edge segments stay on the surface and clear the snow. After override the obstacle, the polyurethane rail and spring return to the initial position and press the ploughshare to the ground.

Lifting device

The CPS has a rotating point lifting system with integrated tension springs for automatic horizontal adjustment to a road surface to reduce ground pressure during snow clearing operation.

Kerb deflectors

The side deflectors help keep the plough from scraping against kerbs and edges when clearing in urban areas.

Mounting

The Schmidt CPS side snow plough is easily attached to the truck thanks to the quick attachment system. The mounting plate F1 with a hydraulic locking system allows it to be mounted and dismounted swiftly on the carrier vehicle. Also availabe with the Schmidt standard mounting plate.
