The Swenson SB Series under tailgate spreaders are designed for contractors and municipa- lities seeking a tailgate spreader that offers either standard or extreme right/left drop. The SB Series is designed for use with 20,000+ GVW trucks with a ground clearance greater than 44” and comes in both stainless steel or powder coated carbon steel. With a direct-drive motor powering the 6” auger, you can expect higher performance and reduced maintenance costs. With a flow rate between 6 and 21 lbs. per revolution, the SB Se- ries under tailgate spreaders are equipped to spread rock salt or sand and are recommended for use in both urban and rural areas.

Concept

The Swenson SB Series is available in multiple configurations to accommodate your unique application. These spreaders provide a variety of solutions when the dump body is more than 44 inches above the ground. The under tailgate spreaders feature height-adjustable spinners and are installed below the existing tailgate. The SB Series can be equipped with standard discharge or extreme left/right discharge, allowing the spinner to be visible in either side mirror.
