Designed with versatility at its core, this all-season workhorse features articulated steering and true bi-directional operation, allowing you to drive and work in either direction with ease. This unique functionality means crews can mount two attachments—one on each end—and tackle multiple tasks quickly and efficiently.
Compact, Capable, and Ready for All Seasons
Built to fill the role of a light-duty airport maintenance tractor, the MB7BT is engineered to perform all year round. Small and large airport maintenance crews alike will appreciate the ability to carry out two different functions in one efficient pass. As Dolf Strydom, VP of Technology at Airport Engineering, puts it: “The new MB7BT is a quick, easy-to-operate piece of equipment that will increase the efficiency of maintenance fleets and be a go-to in every season. Also, because of its 20,000 lb. weight, crews can use it on runways without concerns of wear and tear on the tarmac.”

At the helm of the MB7BT, operators will enjoy the seamless convenience of its bi-directional capabilities, managed from a rotating cockpit that includes a swivel seat, joystick, steering wheel, and console. The seat rotates 210 degrees, allowing operators to easily switch driving directions. Standard cab features include high-capacity air conditioning, a heater and pressurizer, and tinted safety glass for comfort and safety. Alan Luke, Director of Sales, adds, “The MB7BT is a nimble and versatile vehicle that also meets local content requirements for FAA AIP funding, plus it features an attractive price point supported by extremely economical fuel requirements.”

What You’ll Find Under the Hood
The MB7BT brings serious muscle to the tarmac. It’s equipped with a hydrostatic dynamic braking system, supported by additional friction braking on all four wheels. The 4-wheel hydrostatic drive delivers 14,000 lbs. (62 kN) of tractive effort. Each attachment end features mechanical PTOs operating at 1,000 RPM and rated at 180 hp with clockwise rotation. Powering it all is a CAT C4.4 engine, which supports a 3-point hitch lift capacity of 6,500 lbs. (2,948 kg) at 24” (610 mm).
Five Attachments — and Counting
Each side of the MB7BT supports five (so far) attachments via dual 3-point CAT III N hitches. MB-exclusive options include a front-end loader, snow blower, rotating broom, and standard plow. The purchase package also includes a 22’ triple flail mower system. Thanks to its design, the MB7BT is compatible with a wide range of hitch-mounted mower brands to meet various maintenance needs. Whether you’re handling snow removal, sweeping, or landscaping, this tractor delivers. As Doug Blada, General Manager of MB, says, “We’re very excited to see our new tractor get to work at airports around the world. It really stands as the right tool for many jobs, and it will be interesting to see how many different ways our customers will put it to use.”
