Concept
The modular design of the F series is ideally matched to a variety of applications and conditions. The flat hopper design improves manoeuvrability and ensures an unobstructed view to the rear.
Mounting and demounting systems
The Stratos F large series is ideal for mounting on the Unimog U500/527/530 using the special ball joint system. Optionally, hydraulically operated demount legs or demount legs with crank drive can be supplied.
Dosage and conveying systems
The twin auger conveyor system allows a particularly flat hopper design and maximum utilisation of the vehicle width, while a two-stage incline of the augers guarantees uniform emptying of the hopper. The high torque, direct drive hydraulic motor provides a stable and safe start-up.
Pre-wet equipment
The spreader is equipped with laterally arranged brine tanks with a liquid level indicator and a brine pump with run-dry protection. A rear-side Storz C connection allows filling and emptying the brine tanks. When switching on the brine (FS 30), the dry material is automatically reduced and the distribution system settings are optimised in accordance with the change in mix. The system achieves a high level of accuracy, thanks to integrated sensors for comparison of actual versus target value of the control loops.
Distribution systems
High dosing accuracy and dynamic spreading patterns ensure safety in road traffic. With the Premium spreading discs with their five-zone mixing system, a homogeneous spreading mixture is dynamically discharged as a bundled ejection jet to reduce the impact of the wind.
The swivel technology of the spreading disc allows the symmetrical or asymmetrical spreading pattern to be adjusted manually or electronically via the control panel. Thanks to this technique, the size of the spreading area is maintained and a precisely defined spreading pattern is achieved, the width of which can be adjusted from 2-10m or 3-12 m.
Drive systems
The spreader is driven by the vehicle hydraulics. Installed in the power pack compartment, the hydraulic block is protected against the severest weather.
Control and information systems
The F series of large spreaders is controlled by one of three ergonomically-designed, EvolutionLine control panels - EC, EP or ES. Thanks to click-turn contol knobs and illuminated push buttons, the driver can concentrate fully on the traffic and road conditions. In combination with the ThermoLogic and Route Assistant systems, the Stratos F becomes even more efficient and saves scarce resources.
IntelliOPS telematics platform
The Stratos spreaders can be connected to the Aebi Schmidt IntelliOPS platform which provides comprehensive monitoring, selection, reporting and analysis functions. It enables rapid performance evaluation by displaying machine activity data live on a map and uses the collected data to provide detailed overviews and reports to optimise operations.
