The guidance system provides precise and real-time information about treated and untreated surfaces. The colour display shows the exact position of the machine on a map. A clear LED bar gives the driving instructions, which are calculated based on the driving speed and GPS signals. The treated and overlapping areas are each displayed in a different colour. In this way, the system supports efficient and safe comprehensive de-icing.

The spray control system reduces the consumption of de-icing agents by identifying the areas that have already been treated using GPS signals and the current spraying width. At the same time, the system plans ahead and calculates which areas still need to be covered. The spraying width is automatically adjusted by the fully automatic switching on and off of spraying sections on the machine. The safety of the airport is the top priority, with an overlap in the spraying pattern being automatically taken into account. It is also possible to switch to manual control at any time.
