Plough blade
The U-LS plough blade consists of three central, left and right ploughshares. The adaptable geometry of the snow plough offers flexibility in snow clearance and can be used as a U-shaped or one-sided snow plough. The plough blades can be swivelled and hydraulically adjusted while driving.
Override security system
An automatic override system ensures that obstacles are safely driven over. All ploughshares are divided into individual spring-mounted sections that swing backwards when an obstacle is encountered, and each section has its own rubber suspension.
Cutting edges
Cutting edge standard 12 mm
It is a universal cutting edge (hard metal flat blade or a serrated edge), that brakes successfully ice and trampled snow. It is made of steel and there are welded hard metal pieces on the edge of blade working area, which gives to the blade excellent durability. These cutting edges are suitable for operations mainly in winter road maintenance, but can be used also for gravel road maintenance in summer time.
Cutting edge double
A good solution for use on inner city roads and speciality properties like parking lots. Due to the flexible and elastic characteristics of rubber, it glides smoothly over the surface. After one side has been used up, the cutting edge can be turned over for regular use. A rubber cutting edge is especially efficient when clearing snow slush.
Cutting edge Polyurethane
PUR cutting edge are often used for the airport areas. These cutting edges allow for more efficient snow clearance without causing any damage to either the surfaces or to the floor lamps. After one side has been used up, the cutting edge can be turned over for regular use. The PUR cutting edges represent a very high slide resistance and low noise level.
Lifting and angling device
The plough can be swivelled in both directions by 30° (U-LS 3700 - 4300) or 35° (U-LS 4000 - 4900). The side wings can be swivelled forward by 90°, which creates a U-shape with a great snow collection performance and reduced transport width. The central pendulum frame allows a lateral swing of +/- 2.5°, or a parallelogram can be used for mounting on the carrier vehicle. The central part of the plough blade and the side wings can be supplied in different widths to meet individual requirements.
Hydraulic system
The hydraulics of the unit are supplied by the carrier vehicle, while the hydraulic cylinders are protected against overload by shock valves. All functions can be conveniently operated from the driver's cab.
Mounting
The U-LS is suitable for mounting on a variety of Volvo and CAT wheel loaders. Other options are available on request.
